
Jonathan Green manages and co-owns one of the nation’s largest racing and breeding operations, D.J. Stable, LLC. Under his leadership, D.J. Stable has achieved international success, earning two Sovereign Awards, three Eclipse Awards, 14 Leading Owner titles, more than 160 stakes victories, and over 2,600 total wins. The operation has also bred and/or owned 23 Grade I winners (most recently NITROGEN) and sold more than $125 million at public auctions. In 2025 D.J. Stable ranked among the top five owners in purse monies earned.
For the past two years, Jonathan has served as co-host of the industry’s most widely listened-to podcast, Rail Talk, which reaches an estimated 300,000 listeners weekly. He is also a frequent guest on other podcasts and a regular contributor to industry publications, using these platforms to promote open dialogue across the thoroughbred community.
In 2022, Jonathan was elected as a Breeders’ Cup Member and is currently serving a four-year term. He is the Treasurer of TOBA, serves on the Canadian Jockey Club, is a founding member and Vice President of the Thoroughbred Racing Initiative (TRI) and was recently named one of seven new members of The Jockey Club. Jonathan is also serving his 2nd three-year term on the OBS Board of Directors.
Beyond the racing world, Jonathan co-founded and sold a Registered Investment Advisory firm that grew to more than $500 million in assets under management. The firm served many of the sport’s leading jockeys, trainers, owners, consignors, breeders, and pinhookers. In 2015, he earned the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ designation, recognized as the highest standard in the financial planning profession. His background in entrepreneurship, along with his ability to analyze financial statements and tax returns, further enhances his effectiveness as an industry leader.
Over the past four decades, Jonathan has demonstrated unwavering commitment to the sport. He has been a vocal advocate for enhanced safety measures for both human and equine athletes, championing integrity, transparency, and reform across racing and breeding. His extensive professional experience—combined with deep, current knowledge of sales, racing, and breeding—allows him to bring valuable insights to the TCA contribute meaningfully to a safer, healthier, and stronger thoroughbred industry.
