TCA To Host Second Annual Founders Celebration in Timonium

LEXINGTON, Ky. – Thoroughbred Charities of America will host its second annual Founders Celebration and Cocktail Party on Sunday, May 19 from 5 p.m. – 7 p.m. at the Grandstand Grille in the Timonium OTB in Timonium, Md., adjacent to the Fasig-Tipton sales grounds.

The event celebrates TCA’s Mid-Atlantic area roots and offers guests the opportunity to come-as-they-are from the sales to support TCA. Limited tickets are available for $50 and include live music, appetizers, wine, and beer. Tickets can be purchased at tca.org. All net proceeds will benefit TCA’s 2019 grant recipients.

The Founders Celebration is made possible by generous sponsors including Herringswell Stables, TFB Equine, Cooper Horse Transportation, Sports Medicine Associates of Chester County, Xpressbet, West Point Thoroughbreds, Country Life Farm, Jackson Family Wines, Bourbon Lane Stable, McMahon of Saratoga Thoroughbreds, Maryland Million, Maryland Horse Breeders Association, The Green Group, The Mill of Bel Air, Wavertree Stables, Midlantic Ltd., and the Virginia Thoroughbred Association.

TCA’s mission is to provide a better life for Thoroughbreds, both during and after their racing careers, by supporting qualified repurposing and retirement organizations and by helping the people who care for them. TCA distributes grants to several categories of Thoroughbred-related nonprofits including rehabilitation, retraining, rehoming and retirement organizations; backstretch and farm employee programs; equine-assisted therapy programs; and research organizations.  Since its inception in 1990, TCA has granted over $23 million to more than 200 charities. TCA is the charitable arm of the Thoroughbred Owners and Breeders Association (TOBA).
