Subject:  2008 Dues

 

 

This is the time of year when renewal notices go out to the membership in order to provide operating revenue for the coming year. 

 

As you are aware, as a result of a number of factors, we have not had meetings every month, and we will continue to not have meetings every month in 2008 as well.  For that, and other reasons, the Board of Directors has decided not to invoice members for dues in 2008.

 

While we still have monthly operating expenses for items such as the website, bank accounts and storage, we believe that existing funds, and revenue from future meetings and the April Seminar, will provide the necessary revenue for the near term.  TCA, and indeed all of us, are dealing with individual and corporate financial issues, and we do not believe that TCA should add to those burdens. 

 

In lieu of the annual dues, I encourage you to make every effort to attend those monthly meetings we do schedule, and in particular, the April Seminar on Speech Innovations.  I look forward to seeing you at one of our meetings.
