LEXINGTON, KY. -- Thoroughbred Charities of America (TCA) today announced the appointment of Nathan McCauley to its Board of Directors.

“We are pleased to welcome Nathan McCauley to the TCA board. Nathan’s energy, enthusiasm and creativity will be a huge asset and I look forward to working with him,” said Dan Rosenberg president of TCA.

In 2008, McCauley entered into the Thoroughbred business with his family and currently has over two dozen horses in training and on their McCauley Farm in Nicholasville, Kentucky.  McCauley is passionate about service to people, and as such commits 10% of his year serving impoverished communities around the world.

“I see this as a wonderful opportunity to give back to the sport I love and to serve an organization I have long admired,” said Nathan McCauley.

McCauley joins current board members Shannon Arvin, Eric Hamelback, Braxton Lynch, Bob Manfuso, Pope McLean, Jr., Mike McMahon, Ellen Moelis, Herb Moelis, Graham Motion, Dr. Jim Orsini, Dr. Scott Palmer, Josh Pons, Dan Rosenberg, Bo Smith, Ned Toffey and Peter Willmott.

TCA was formed in 1990 to raise and distribute funds for charities in the Thoroughbred industry which provide a better life for Thoroughbreds both during and after their racing careers by supporting retirement, rescue, research and by helping the people who work with them. Over the last 24 years TCA has distributed over $20 million in grants to more than 200 Thoroughbred-related organizations. TCA is the charitable arm of the Thoroughbred Owners and Breeders Association (TOBA).
